Lined Ball Valves
FluoroSeal® lined ball valves have straight-through flow providing positive shutoff with minimal pressure drop and flow turbulence. With the ball independent of the stem, the ball has some freedom to move along the axis of the valve in the closed position, while having no freedom to rotate against the stem. When line pressure is applied to the closed ball, it moves slightly downstream to maintain contact with the downstream seat where primary sealing occurs.
Lined ball valves can generally be installed without regard for flow direction, and are ideally suited for automation as they feature an ISO mounting pad. FluoroSeal’s standard fully PFA lined ball valve utilizes a ductile iron body housing with stainless steel ball and stem cores.
